Celidonia
Chelidonium majus is a species of herbaceous perennial plant in the Papaveraceae family that is very common in France. Renowned for its medicinal properties and discreet beauty, this plant can reach up to 80 cm in height. It has lobed, dark-green leaves and bright yellow flowers from May to October. The plant's juice, containing numerous toxic alkaloids, is used for repeated local application to treat warts, corns and calluses.
Hardy, large chelidonia appreciates cool, well-drained soil, and can be grown in full sun or part shade.
