Bracteate immortelle, Xerochrysum bracteatum, is a plant native to Australia in the Asteraceae family. Originally a perennial, it has been cultivated and selected for around 2 centuries and has thus become an annual plant, easy to grow and very floriferous. Its incredible flowers resemble paper flowers and are called "strawflower". They come in a wide range of colors, from yellow to red, mauve, orange and white, and are perfect for dried flower bouquets, as they retain all their beauty and color.
Drought-resistant, bracted immortelle prefers well-drained soil and sunny exposures.
