Alfalfa
Alfalfa - of the Medicago genus - are annual or perennial plants in the Fabaceae family. They are usually herbaceous, sometimes shrubby. Several species are cultivated as forage plants. The species listed in our catalog, cultivated alfalfa - Medicago sativa - is considered the queen of forages, as it is rich in protein and improves soils. It is therefore also used as a green manure. Alfalfa also has the advantage of being melliferous.
