Coreopsis
Coreopsis are plants in the Asteraceae family and Heliantheae tribe. The Coreopsis genus comprises 114 known species. Plains Indians used certain Coreopsis species for their medicinal virtues. Coreopsis tinctoria flowers were boiled in water for a few minutes to make a blood-strengthening drink. Coreopsis tinctoria was also used as an expectorant by early settlers. The species we offer have yellow or yellow and red flowers.
