Liatris
Liatrides are plants in the Asteraceae family and the Eupatorieae tribe. The Liatris genus comprises 42 known species, all of which are melliferous. Liatris species are magnificent ornamental plants. Most of these species were commonly used by Indian peoples. For example, Liatris squarrosa was used to treat kidney and uterine disorders, and for its diuretic, tonic and stimulating virtues.
