Tithonias
Also known as Mexican Sun or Mexican Sunflower, Tithonia are plants in the Asteraceae family and Heliantheae tribe. The Tithonia genus comprises 10 known species. They can be used as green manures, as they are happy with very poor soils and provide them with nitrogen and phosphorus. They can also be used as a natural pesticide, keeping insects away from the growing area, but it's above all for their dazzling beauty that we love to have them in the garden.
