6-row precision seeder 2nd Edition
The famous 6-row precision seeder has been redesigned to make it more efficient and easier to use. It is a professional tool for sowing small and medium-sized seeds. It drastically reduces the amount of wasted seed and effort, while offering the possibility of combining crops in a single pass!
This new edition has been designed on the basis of user feedback to offer optimizations that make it more efficient and easier to use for the same price:
- Adjustable handle socket for offset working
- Recovery system for unused seeds
- Notched steering wheel for improved traction and use on a wider variety of soils
- The 2 wheels are now open on the side for easy cleaning of the tool
This precision seed drill was designed by Eliot Coleman (American farmer and author of "The New Organic Grower") and developed in conjunction with Johnny's Selected Seed in Maine, USA. Its design is the result of needs expressed by gardeners and market gardeners. 6 rows can be sown at once, with a spacing of 5.7 cm between rows. The front roller packs and levels the soil. The rear roller closes the furrows and guides the seed distribution shaft. Seeding depth is adjustable. 4 hole sizes are available, from carrot seed to head lettuce seed. 3 series of pulleys and brushes in the hoppers precisely meter the quantity of seed. The handle can be swivelled to the side for manoeuvring in all circumstances. Highly modular, this tool enables you to sow a dense bed of lettuce, 6 rows at a time, or a spaced bed of spinach, using only 2 or 3 hoppers out of 6 and increasing the sowing distance per row.
The tool is supplied with a wooden handle (shipped separately) measuring 1.50 m.
