3 Cannabis Carmagnola AB plants

Ref : F1755P

Explore Carmagnola, the oldest traditional Italian variety of dioecious CBD hemp. Renowned for its high CBD content of 4-8%, depending on analysis, terroir, ecotype, etc., it contains no THC, or less than 0.2%.

Easy to grow, these plants offer a variety of uses: CBD-rich flowers, fibers, edible seeds or simply a very generous source of biomass for making plant compost.

How to grow Cannabis Carmagnola?

Hemp is very hardy and adapts to a wide range of growing conditions. Once the last frosts have passed, from April to June, set up cannabis cbd plants in the organic garden:

  • dig 20 cm-deep holes in prepared soil, at least 50 cm apart in all directions;

  • add a good handful of potting soil or well-decomposed compost;

  • unstack the plants;

  • thoroughly moisten the rootballs of each plant;

  • install them upright, burying the stem up to the first leaves, in each hole;

  • close up and pack lightly around the plants;

  • water abundantly;

  • mulch.

When and how to harvest cannabis?

The harvesting period for cannabis cbd, from August to October, depends on the use of the plant. Whether for its flowers or seeds, cut the whole plant before putting it out to dry in a well-ventilated room.

  • The flowers are harvested in late August or September, when the pistils of the female flowers turn orange or red and the trichomes (the plant's resin glands) turn opaque and milky or amber.

  • Its seeds are harvested around September, when the plant begins to turn yellow and at least two-thirds of the seeds in a female inflorescence are mature and brown.

  • Its stems are harvested in late September or October, when the plants are dry.

Legislation on cannabis cultivation

Although the cbd cannabis plant is not a narcotic and can be bought just about anywhere in France, it is still totally illegal for private individuals to grow. Only active farmers, cultivating certified seeds and declaring this activity to the gendarmerie, can legally grow cbd cannabis.

However, if, like us, you wish to engage in an act of civil disobedience by growing this medicinal plant in your garden, we invite you to read the legal note below.

Cannabis: recognizing male and female plants.

Many players on the market sell 100% feminized seeds. To achieve this, they are treated with colloidal silver or sodium chloride. Seedlings are produced using Kokopelli seeds, which are not treated. Consequently, and at the stage when the plants are shipped, it is impossible to know whether they are males or females.

cannabis mâle et femelle

Male plants have a genetic interest in being as tall as possible, so that pollen can be carried as far as possible by the wind. From the start of their growth, male plants will tend to tiger faster, to achieve their reproductive goal. Conversely, female plants will need a lot of nutrients to develop their flowers, and will favor their trunks and roots. Early in development, therefore, you need to be vigilant if some plants grow faster than others. Female plants develop filaments at the junction of branches, while male plants will develop pollen bells/pockets. If seed production is not desired, male plants must be destroyed. In many cases, the male plants will already have successfully formed flowers containing pollen, so care must be taken when handling them to prevent it spreading into your crop.
