Helenium autumnale - Hélénie
Magnificent perennial of the Asteraceae family, up to 100cm tall, with numerous yellow flowers with prominent hearts and backward-turned petals. Blooms late summer-autumn. Sun exposure: full sun to part shade.
Seeds should be stored cold (and dry) for a few weeks before sowing. Sow in warm soil.

Sow in trays or buckets, in cold frames, at the end of winter. Transplant into individual buckets when plants have reached the 2 true-leaf stage. Place in sufficiently warmed soil, 30 to 40 cm apart in all directions. Divide plants every 3 to 4 years to restore vigor.
