This annual variety offers flowers with golden-yellow petals, tinged red at the base, up to 12 cm in diameter. Its resistance to heat and drought makes it an excellent plant for rock gardens.

Sow in trays under light cover, taking care not to over-cover the seeds. Keep moist until emergence. Transplant into individual cups when the plants have reached a few centimetres in height, then plant out when the soil has warmed up, 30 cm apart in all directions.
Cut off spent flowers as they appear to encourage flowering.
