Building a greenhouse
Although small, standard greenhouses are available on the market today at affordable prices, they are poorly insulated and often too hot in summer and too cold in winter.
In contrast, solar greenhouses, i.e. those heated passively by the sun, with no (or minimal) non-renewable energy, are better tempered and enable virtually uninterrupted vegetable production.
This book explains how to design and build a solar greenhouse, and presents numerous examples of how it's done (free-standing, lean-to or semi-buried greenhouses). It also explains how to retrofit a standard greenhouse without breaking the bank, so that it doesn't get too hot in summer or too cold in winter.
