De Limans

The Limans bean is a beautiful, vigorous variety of mangetout bean, productive and resistant, for open field and sheltered cultivation. The pods are cylindrical and 18-20 cm long. An excellent bean that can be eaten at any stage, as good picked fine as larger, and always without string. Harvest begins one month after sowing, and lasts until frost. The seeds are black in color.

This is a selection of over 30 years of an old variety from a Provençal seed company (Gautier), but which has long since disappeared from the catalogs.
