Fargo Yellow Pear - Yellow Mid-season Cherry tomato
This old variety, of determinate to semi-determinate growth, produces hundreds of clusters of 5 to 7 small pear-shaped fruits. Their flesh has a sweet, non-acidic flavor that is much appreciated.
Developed in the 1930s in the United States, it is the result of a cross between "Bison" and "Poire Jaune".

Sow in pots at a temperature of between 16 and 20°C, under a well-lit shelter, 5 weeks before planting. After the last frosts, transplant the whole clump into the ground at a minimum distance of 50 cm, burying the stem up to the first leaves. Water abundantly at the time of planting.
Solanaceae need light and heat to produce. In cool climates, it's best to grow them under cover and, depending on the soil, water them regularly.

This old variety was developed by A. F. Yeager in 1933 at the NDAC research station in the USA. Listed in 1940 in the "Oscar H Will & Co" catalog of Bismarck, North Dakota, it is the result of a cross between "Bison" and "Yellow Pear".
