Garlic oily macerate

Ref : MHA

Garlic oil maceration is a natural preparation with a broad spectrum of action, both as an insect repellent and as an antifungal agent. This is due to the presence of sulfides, disulfides and trisulfides contained in allicin.

Packaging :

  • 1.5 liters (€11.60/liter)
  • 5 liters (€8.30/liter)

Beneficial effects

  • Curative insect repellent: against weevils, potato moths, mosquito larvae, mites (especially cucurbit mites) and Colorado beetles.
  • Acts on numerous fungal diseases: marsonia of roses, moniliosis of fruit trees, etc.

Directions for use

  • Spray in the evening to avoid any risk of burning plants.
  • Use as a preventive and curative treatment. Can be used for diseases and pests.

Fight mildew with Garlic oil maceration

Downy mildew is a fungal disease of plants. Its appearance and spread are favored by heat and humidity. It can be harmful to both amateur and professional gardeners. Nevertheless, it can be easily and quickly identified: brownish-yellow spots appear above the leaves. These then gradually dry out. As mildew can survive in the soil for 3 to 5 years and is frost-resistant, there are ways to prevent infection: water without wetting the leaves, grow under cover, rotate crops from one year to the next and, above all, keep the vegetable garden well aerated: in the greenhouse or garden, remember to space the plants far enough apart so that the leaves can dry out.

But what to do once mildew has set in? The first recommendation is to cut off infested leaves, taking care not to leave them at the foot of the crop, as this could spread the infection to the soil.

The sulfides contained in garlic have a wide field of action on pests and fungal diseases. For PREVENTIVE AND CURATIVE USE, apply this treatment diluted to 5% (with spring or rain water) directly to the plants. To avoid any risk of burning, apply only in the evening.

Dilutions

To dilute plant extracts, use rainwater or spring water at room temperature. Tap water contains too much chlorine and limestone, which oxidizes the soil. It can alter the effects of soil care by counteracting the effect of bacteria.

Dosages must be respected, otherwise there is a risk of appetence (for diseases and pests).

For foliar spraying, dilute at 5%: 0.5 L in 10 liters of rainwater, 2 to 3 times a month. You can also add 3% black soap (surfactant).
