What does the box of militant seeds consist of?
This kit is made up of a selection of 6 packets of organic, reproducible seeds. These varieties have been selected for the diversity they bring to the vegetable garden, as well as their complementarity.
The book Semences sous influences explains the issues surrounding seeds and lobbying at European level, as well as Kokopelli's 20-year battle against GNIS, the state and the agro-industry.
The wood-fiber cups are biodegradable, so there's no need to take the plant out of the cup. Simply place it directly into the planting hole.
Seed preservation sachets to keep these varieties alive over the years. Kept dry in a garage, they can be resown next year.
The cultivation sheets are a gold mine of generic information on the species, and a precious ally in the cultivation of varieties.
What varieties are in the Graines Militantes box?
This perennial species is used as a condiment and for medicinal purposes. It has a bitter taste and can reach 1.50 m in height. It has many small yellow flowers and is used in purin as an insect repellent and fungicide.
The famous absinthe liqueur, or "green fairy", was invented in Switzerland in the 19th century. Popular with Van Gogh, Rimbaud and Verlaine, it was the most widely consumed aperitif from 1830 to 1915, before being banned and supplanted by pastis.
This ancient variety is reputed to contain an abundance of CBD, from 4 to 8% (it contains no THC, or less than 0.2%), depending on analysis, terroir, ecotype... and advertising! It can be used for CBD, for its fibers, for its edible seeds or simply as a very generous source of biomass for plant compost.

The seeds we offer are reproduced year after year from our own basic seeds. We test the THC content of our seedlings every year, but we do not issue any certificates. We believe that Hemp CBD varieties, like vegetable species, should be free to grow without restriction.
We are currently studying an action plan to enable gardeners to grow their own CBD hemp independently. By purchasing your seeds or plants from Kokopelli, you assume full responsibility for the risks involved*.
This variety produces slender, upright stems 60 to 90 cm high bearing a single 10 cm-diameter purple flower with darker spots at the heart. The seeds are tasty and bitter-free.

There are 2 types of poppy: white-seeded poppies, which are banned from sale because they are used to produce opium. Native to China and now naturalized in Europe, Annual Mugwort can grow up to 3 m tall. Its branching stems give rise to sharply divided leaves with a particularly intense fragrance. Well established in Chinese pharmacopoeia, Artemisia annua is an exceptional source of phytoconstituents, notably artemisinin. This species has a wide range of applications, both for the treatment of serious infectious diseases such as malaria, and for preventive use.
Beware, the seeds are tiny.
This holy basil, native to Ethiopia and easy to integrate into gardens in temperate zones, has a highly branched habit. Its dark-green leaves with serrated edges offer a spicy fragrance and flavor of vanilla, tutti frutti and myrrh.
This medicinal species features long, blue flower stalks on foliage with a powerful lemongrass fragrance. Its leaves and flowers, delicious in herbal teas, also flavour any dish.
