Microcultivator XT - new version

Ref : WO1145

An improved version of Johnny's original.

The microcultivator is the reliable benchmark for professional-quality bed preparation. Not to be confused with a rotovator, it mixes the first two inches of soil to produce a finely tended, level surface ready for planting.

The new version of Johnny's Seeds' microtiller has been upgraded with a drive system that generates more torque and improved responsiveness. The powerful gear drive is easily controlled by a light pull on the trigger, which is shaped into a set of contoured handles.

The benefits of the XT microcultivator

  • Improved soil health (leaves soil structure and beneficial microbes intact), leading to better crop production over time
  • Better weed management (mixes only the top layer of soil to avoid bringing weed seeds to the surface to germinate)
  • Ideal for minimum tillage operations
  • Efficient way to mix compost and soil improvers
  • Ideal for high tunnels as it's lightweight, portable and doesn't emit fumes

Features :

  • High-quality materials (stainless steel, aluminum and wood) with lasting value
  • Lightweight design
  • Cast aluminum trigger controls drilling speed
  • High-strength metal components
  • Full-length oiled ash wood handles
  • Handle height adjustment
  • 15" wide, perfect for two passes on 30" beds
  • Padded crossbar rests comfortably on shoulder during transport

Notes

  • Drill not included (we recommend an 18 V drill or higher; 1/2" chuck size required)
  • Not suitable for initial tilling of unploughed soil
