Ollas watering pots are terracotta water tanks with lids. Sufficiently porous, once filled with water, they enable the surrounding soil to absorb the moisture needed for the development of nearby plants or vegetables. Since evaporation does not take place in the soil, the roots benefit from optimized microporous watering.

How to install an olla in a planter or tub?

• Step 1: dig a hole slightly larger than the olla.
• Step 2: Make sure no rocks or large, sharp stones come into contact with the olla.
• Step 3: Bury the olla, leaving its neck 1 to 5 cm above the ground. Fill the hole with soil, tamping it down regularly to avoid leaving areas without soil or with too much air.
• Step 4: Plant your vegetables or plants around the olla in a larger or smaller area, depending on the size of the olla you've chosen.
• Step 5: Fill your olla with water and close the cap.

Once the olla is installed, refill it from time to time!
