Redpar - Cutting Celery
This variety, developed by Frank Morton, has long, thin, red stalks with dark green, cut leaves. Particularly appreciated in salads, it can also be cooked like other celery cuttings.

Sow lightly on the surface, in trays, 8 to 10 weeks before final planting. Press lightly, then spray to avoid digging up the seeds. Transplant into pots at the 3 to 4-leaf stage. Plant out when plants have 6 to 8 leaves, after the last frosts, 30 cm apart in all directions.
Water the plants regularly to prevent the ribs from becoming stringy.
