Seven Star - Wax gourd
This variety, popular in Asian cuisine, produces green fruits 20 to 30 cm long. When ripe, they can be eaten like squash, and are covered with a waxy coating that allows them to keep for up to 2 years.

Sow in pots at temperatures between 25 and 30°C. Keep only one seedling per pot. Plant with root ball after last frost, 1.5 m apart in all directions.
These squashes can climb or crawl and can be grown as ground cover or on trellises.
