Sow under cover, in trays or pots, in a not too rich substrate and lightly press down. Transplant seedlings in the garden, 30 cm apart in all directions, from April onwards. For sowing in the open ground, spade, rake and level the plot, then broadcast, press lightly and keep moist. Seeds need light to germinate!
Very easy to grow, the garden poppy requires no particular maintenance, apart from light pruning according to individual affinities and regular trimming of spent flowers.
