Strawberry Fields - Gomphrena
From July to the first frosts, this variety produces numerous small, bright red pompons. Ideal for fresh or dry bouquets, it adds a touch of lively color to flowerbeds and vegetable gardens!
in nurseries, in bucket
Sow in trays at temperatures between 16 and 20°C, under a well-lit shelter, 5 weeks before planting. Transplant gently into the ground after the last frosts. Seeds need light to germinate, so don't cover them, just press them lightly onto the potting soil.
Gomphrena plants like well-drained soil, even slightly poor soil. In heavy soils, add a little gravel to lighten the soil and plant out on a small mound to encourage water drainage. Once installed, no maintenance is required!
