This old variety is one of the most interesting for decoration. It offers 4 to 6 fruits weighing 1 to 5 kg, adorned with a brightly colored cap. The sweet, floury orange flesh is excellent in soup.

The fruit keeps for 4 to 12 months and can be dried for decoration.

Sow in pots at a temperature of between 18 and 20°C, 2 to 3 weeks before planting. Transplant, with the root ball, into the ground, after the last frosts, at a distance of at least 2 m in all directions.
