This hardy perennial can grow up to 2 m tall. On upright, branched stems, it produces dozens of highly decorative, purple, disheveled inflorescences.
Perennial seeds require a wintering period for germination. Place them in the refrigerator for 60 days before sowing in spring. Sow in pots in spring, in a cold frame. Transplant one month after emergence, when frost is no longer a concern.
