Workshop - Introduction to beekeeping - 3h

Come and meet bees, precious allies of the garden and biodiversity, and go behind the scenes of their fascinating world with Stephan Losilla.

This workshop begins with an introduction to the basics of beekeeping: the essential role of bees in pollination and ecosystems, species diversity, how a hive works and the stages involved in honey production. Alongside Stephan Losilla, you'll have the chance to visit one of our hives and observe a colony of bees in action.

This initiation will give you the key notions for welcoming a beehive in your garden and concretely participating in the preservation of bees and biodiversity in the garden.

Stephan Losilla, a passionate professional beekeeper, works in the Séronais region of Ariège. He discovered the world of bees in 2013 and, fascinated by these little winged animals, decided to make it his profession a few years later. Committed to the well-being of his bees, Stephan now distributes the honey from his modest production at local markets.
