The Kokopelli Blog

For nearly two years now, we've been reworking our internal database and developing, with the help of a local company, this new tool that we proudly present to you in this summer of 2018. We opted for this period to minimize the risk of errors or bugs due to overcrowding. This gives us time, before the autumn season kicks off, to correct any problems encountered on the Kokopelli store. The design will also evolve in the weeks following the launch, to harmonize even more closely with Kokopelli's colorful image.

We've decided to divide the "online store" section and the "Campaigns and associative life" section, which you'll find on our blog, into two distinct sites, but similar in their operation and graphics. On the latter, in addition to frequent information and news items, we publish in-depth articles on various subjects related to our missions. You can also consult dozens of technical and botanical fact sheets, classified by species. A real wellspring of knowledge!

We need your help!

Because this site is still in the process of being improved and post-developed, and even though we've been testing this new platform from every angle for months now, and all the basic functionalities are working without a hitch, you may find some errors (operating bugs, typing or spelling errors, incorrect information, etc.). In this case, please do not hesitate to contact us using the form at the bottom of the page. We'll be grateful for any help you can provide!

So, what's new?

A guided tour is in order, as we've expanded the online store so much. We're sure we'll forget some, but the essentials will be covered.

Let's start with the elements present on every page of the website.

The banner:

This incorporates the elements that are typical of most websites, and we don't need to explain them here. However, we would like to draw your attention to the three "buttons" at the top left of the banner: "BLOG", a must when ordering on the Kokopelli site; "About us", because it's important not to order your seeds of life from just anyone; and "Frequently Asked Questions", which answers most of the questions frequently asked by our customers.and "Frequently Asked Questions", which answers most frequently asked questions and saves you waiting long minutes for our switchboard to clear up (saturated mainly in season).

The "Big-Menu" lets you navigate to any category on our website with a single click, wherever you are in your browsing. Discover a wide range of products without spending hours searching for what you want!

Footer:

The footer is also quite classic, allowing you to go directly to certain pages and have all the information you need to contact us or visit us at your fingertips. Don't forget to sign up for the Kokopelli newsletter, which will keep you up to date with all our activities!

"
My Account" and "My Cart

Member area and shopping cart:

At any time, you can access your member area by logging in with your usual login and password, or by creating an account if you're ordering for the first time. Once logged in, you'll have access to the various functions of your customer area.

The shopping cart is also accessible at all times, allowing you to modify, add by reference (if you have a paper catalog) or delete products. From the basket, you can also join the association, make a donation or offer a gift card.

In your customer area, you can also enter your different delivery addresses, change your password or e-mail address, etc.

Kokopelli's network of professional growers

Reception:

Next, the real point of entry to the Kokopelli site, here's a quick presentation of the home page. First of all, you'll discover a scrolling banner and a "patchwork" displaying, in full color, the association's new products and news, or simply a page we've chosen to highlight. Then - and it's with great pride that we present this new feature - you'll be able to browse through a series of articles presenting, producer by producer, those who produce the seeds of life we've been distributing for years. They're not all represented yet, but we're gradually adding articles.

And finally, just before the "footer", a second "patchwork" offering an overview - and direct access - to the latest articles added to the association's blog.

From the home page, the "footer" is more complete than from the rest of the website, giving direct access to downloads of the catalog or the organic certificate, to the map of points of sale, to a page reserved for professionals, to the membership form, and so on.

The search tool :

This tool is the fruit of many months' work, not only for its intrinsic design, but also for the extensive information we have added to the variety sheets in order to make it work optimally (there is still some work to be done on this subject, by the way). Looking for an early green tomato for sowing in February or March? Simply click on the appropriate buttons and confirm your search!

Variety cards:

We have chosen to present three complementary sheets for each variety:

  • The first is displayed as a grid or list to give an overall view of a category or search result.
  • The second, a rapid development of the first, gives a more detailed view of the variety.
  • The third, complete and detailed, offers a wealth of information about the variety.

And much, much more!

We leave you the pleasure of exploring the nooks and crannies of this new website. And we look forward to hearing your comments and suggestions! We look forward to hearing from you!

Happy browsing!
