"I've always been interested in gardening. At first, through the eyes of a child, I saw its abundant, and then as a teenager came an ecological motivation focused on defending vegetable varietal biodiversity and food autonomy.
After various professional experiences, I obtained a BTSA diploma in Nature Management and Protection. But my desire to be an active part of my territory, rather than an external manager, led me to be a farmer. So I completed a BPREA, during which I discovered the professional world of seed production, and I was trained by the late David Dard and Sabine Lunetta, former producers for the Kokopelli Association. You could say I've taken their mantle !
Since 2014, I've been cultivating around fifty vegetable and flower species with nearly 1 hectare of seed-bearing crops under organic farming, 93% of which are in open ground.
Beyond being autonomous in my decisions and working outdoors, my profession as a seed producer allows me to combine my passion for plants with the fight for free seed and thus contribute to the common good.
Bringing all this plant life to the end of its cycle, through the vagaries of the climate and various pests, is also a kind of technical and emotional challenge, just as thrilling as it is exhausting, I must admit - and one that has to be repeated every year.
My favorite varieties: the "Tendre de Châteaurenard" bell pepper. Generous and delicious, it's unjustly forgotten! And the"Jimi's Purple Haze" Poppy, because it's truly magnificent.
