Chives
Chives - or civets - are aromatic plants in the Allium genus, with a highly complex taxonomy that includes over 700 known species. It belongs to the Alliaceae family and the Allieae tribe. The leaves are used fresh, raw or cooked, but are rarely dehydrated, as they lose their aroma when dried. The flowers are edible and decorative, adding flavor and embellishment to salads and hot dishes.
