Chives
This species forms clumps of round-sectioned, thin, hollow leaves 15 to 25 cm long. Its pink, onion-flavored flowers appear in abundance in early summer.
If the plants are cut back before the seeds have set, a second bloom may appear at the end of the season.

Sow in trays under light cover. Transplant 7-8 weeks after emergence, 15 cm apart in all directions. Alternatively, sow light, directly in place, in rows 15 cm apart. Thin out when possible.
Outdoors, the variety disappears in winter and reappears in spring. Under cover, it can be harvested all year round.
