Sow in pots or clumps of 5 to 7 seeds, 0.5 cm deep, before transplanting into the ground at 10 cm intervals, in rows 20 to 30 cm apart. Alternatively, sow lightly, directly in the ground, in rows 25 cm apart, tamping lightly and keeping moist. Thin and keep the soil cool. If lamb's lettuce is grown in full sun, shade the rows.
