Alta Anoia - Chickpea
This traditional variety, from the Catalan canton of Alta Anoia, produces very tasty peas with a fine skin, a melting texture and an intense, delicate taste.

Sow directly in place, 2 to 3 cm deep, in stacks of 3 to 4 seeds spaced 20 cm apart, in rows spaced 30 cm apart. Top-dress plants 3 weeks after emergence. In mild-climate regions, sowing can be done in October and November, and up to January for southern regions. For use as green manure, broadcast at a rate of 20 g per square metre.
