Anuenue - Head Lettuce
This variety offers a beautiful head with shiny green outer leaves and a compact core, similar to "Iceberg" lettuce. Very well adapted to heat and slow to bolt, it has the ability to germinate in warm soils.
Developed by the University of Hawaii in 1987, its name means "Rainbow".

Sow in pots or slabs at a temperature of 10-18°C, one month before planting. Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil, press lightly and water. Once the plants have 4 leaves, prick out. You can also sow lightly, directly in the field, every 15 days for better staggered harvests, then thin out. This type of sowing produces hardier plants, less susceptible to bolting.
