Apricot Chiffon - California poppy
This astonishing California poppy offers sublime semi-double flowers, with more or less pleated petals and soft shades of orange, peach and pink. It has won a Garden Merit Award from the Royal Horticultural Society.

Sow in trays under light shelter. Transplant into pots when plants reach 3 or 4 cm. Plant out after the last frosts, 30 cm apart in all directions. It is also possible to sow in situ in spring. Cover seeds lightly with potting soil. Keep the soil moist. Then thin out to 30 cm in all directions. In mild climates, sow in place in September for early flowering. It seems that rain and cold winters favor seed emergence.
This perennial lives for several years in mild climates and can be grown as an annual in other regions. It seeds spontaneously.
