Artemisia annua is a powerful bioaccumulator. It has therefore been grown on chemical-free land for many years. Sowing, harvesting and bagging were carried out by hand.
This sachet is also suitable for the preparation of oily, alcoholic or glycerol macerates, as well as for use in poultices.
Even as a dried plant, artemisia gives off a very herbal fragrance, a sign of quality. If this disturbs you, keep your sachet in an airtight jar.
Plant description :
Artemisia annua is a hairless plant native to China and naturalized in Europe. It has highly branched stems ranging from 30 to 100 cm, and can reach over 3 m in cultivation.
Properties and virtues ofArtemisia annua:
Artemisia annua has a wide range of properties for treating both serious infectious diseases and everyday ailments: repellent, digestive, healing, antipyretic, anticancer, antifungal, antispasmodic, diuretic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antiparasitic.
PreparingArtemisia annua tea :
AsArtemisia annua tea is very finely ground, we recommend infusing it through a very fine-mesh filter.
This fineness ensures a faster infusion. If the bitterness seems too pronounced, you can add a few sage leaves, a sprig of thyme, a spoonful of honey...
To make an infusion, use 5 grams per liter, to infuse for 5 to 15 minutes.. The dosage should naturally be determined according to the severity of the pathology and the age of the person concerned. You need to test, experiment, be patient and listen carefully.
Artemisia annua was the featured plant in the 2019 edition of the "Cultivate Us! For the liberation of medicinal plants" campaign.
