This Spanish variety produces deeply ribbed, cheese-stone-shaped fruits weighing 5 to 7 kg, which turn orange and then ochre when fully ripe. Their sweet flesh is traditionally used to make pies.

Sow in pots at a temperature of between 18 and 20°C, 2 to 3 weeks before planting. Transplant, with the root ball, into the ground, after the last frosts, at a distance of at least 2 m in all directions.
