Hibiscus sabdariffa
This species has large, pinkish-white, yellow-tinged flowers with purple-red centers. After fertilization, they produce dark-red fruits used to make a drink called bissap. The young shoots and leaves can also be eaten raw or cooked.
Sow in buckets, in warm conditions, in bunches of 2 to 3 seeds. Transplant the most vigorous seedling from each cup, when the soil is sufficiently warm, at 40 cm in rows 60 cm apart.
