Sow in a terrine under a well-lit shelter. Cover seeds lightly, press lightly and keep moist. Transplant into individual cups when plants have 3 to 4 leaves. Plant out when they reach a minimum height of 20 cm, in the spring or autumn following sowing.
Hyssop can be propagated by dividing clumps in spring or by cuttings in summer. It fears heavy frosts. In winter, if temperatures fall below -10°C, you'll need to bring it inside or protect it.
