Lollo Rossa - To cut Lettuce
This old variety offers lettuces with magnificent bronze-green, bright red foliage, finely curled at the tip. It is appreciated for both its flavor and its decorative appeal.
The peripheral leaves are cut off, one by one, as needed. New ones develop after successive harvests.

Sow in pots or slabs at a temperature of 10-18°C, one month before planting. Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil, press lightly and water. Once the plants have 4 leaves, prick out. Alternatively, sow lightly, directly into the ground, every 15 days for better staggered harvests, then thin out. This type of sowing produces hardier plants, less susceptible to bolting.
