Sow in trays, under cover. Transplant into pots when two true leaves are present, then plant out when the plants are 10 to 15 cm tall, after the last frosts. For direct sowing, wait for the soil to warm up, then sow in rows 50 cm apart. Thin on the row by 10 to 30 cm or 50 to 60 cm depending on the cultivation method. It is advisable to refrigerate the seeds for a few days to lift dormancy.
