Pelandron - Dwarf Common bean
This very old, early variety produces large, green pods marbled with purple, very tender, fleshy and threadless. Originally from Italy, it was once widely cultivated in the south of France.

Sow directly in place, 2 to 3 cm deep, at 8 cm intervals, in rows 40 cm apart, or in stacks of 3 to 5 seeds, 40 cm apart in all directions. Plant 3 weeks after emergence. In mild climates, sow as early as April.
They can be harvested once or twice a week, when they reach 12 to 15 cm in length, before becoming fibrous.
