"I cultivate 2,500 m² in open fields and 400 m² in greenhouses, and my 1.5 ha of natural grassland is used for mulching and future rotations. I use drip irrigation, pumped from the river, and an old tractor for transport, but most of the work is done by hand! I also do market gardening for friends and neighbors, and have plans to set up a processing workshop.
After workinǵ setting up rural and agricultural "development" projects, especially in tropical areas, I wanted to have more technical skills. So I took a BPREA, then worked for 4 years in market gardening, working for two farmers. This gave me the opportunity to think more deeply about what I wanted to produce, and the idea of seeds came quite naturally. What I love most about this job is seeing my crops, and the nature around them, follow the rhythm of the seasons!
My favorite variety was the "Klondike Blue Ribbon Stripe" watermelon, which is very tasty even in seasons with little sunshine.
