Aerial spade without hoop
Hand-forged by Jean-Luc Bonnaventure in the Montagne Noire massif, the Aéro-bêche is the ideal tool for decompacting soil without turning it over or destructuring it. Its use enhances soil moistening and oxygenation, promoting root system development and the beneficial action of surface micro-organisms, while preventing undesirable seeds from rising to the surface. To best meet the needs of gardeners, we offer 6 models of Aero-Spades with 3, 4 or 5 tines, with or without arch.
The choice depends on the surface to be worked (number of teeth) and the type of soil(Aero-spades with hoop facilitate handle oscillation, and are recommended for heavy, clay soils).
- 3-tine aerospade for 20 cm working width (net weight: 2 kg 750)
- 4-tine aerospade for 30 cm working width (net weight: 3 kg 250)
- 5-tooth aerospade for a working width of 40 cm (net weight: 3 kg 880)
Aerospades are sold with their 110 cm ash handles, which distribute the working force over both arms, offering gardeners greater working comfort.
Instructions for use :
- plant the Aéro-bêche vertically, using the crossbar if necessary.
- pull the 2 handles towards you; the lever arm thus created will lift and loosen a clod of earth.
- alternately raise and lower the handles to break up the clod on the spot.
- remove the aerospade and plant it 10 to 20 cm back.
