Autumn and Winter Special - Green manure mix
Suitable for late summer and autumn sowing, this mix of 6 hardy species maintains a vegetation cover throughout the winter. With its balanced composition of cereals, legumes and brassicas, it naturally enriches and improves the soil.
It contains: 30% autumn rye, 29% forage rye, 25% Hungarian vetch, 10% red clover, 4% autumn triticale and 2% forage rape.
Carefully prepare the area to be sown so that the soil is loose and finely crumbled on the surface. This will ensure even emergence of the various seeds. Broadcast the seeds directly into the soil, at a rate of 10 g per square metre. Rake to bury the seeds and press down with a board or the back of a rake. Keep the soil moist until the seeds emerge. Mow or bed the plant cover before the seeds set in the following spring.
