Catnip - Barley
This fast-growing barley produces a clump of lanceolate leaves, around 25 cm long. Ideal for indoor cats, it provides an essential plant source for eliminating hairballs accumulated in the digestive tract.
Catnip can also be used to distract felines from other houseplants that may be toxic to them.
Sow in a pot or window box at a depth of 2 cm and press lightly. Keep the substrate moist until emergence. Place the pot or planter within reach of the cats as soon as the plants reach 10 to 15 cm in height. Sow indoors all year round, according to the felines' needs.
