This sumptuous old variety has a compact, golden spiral-shaped apple, with a beautiful, tender green color and an excellent hazelnut-like flavor. Sulfur-free, it is reputed to be easily digestible.

Sow in pots under cover. Cover seeds with a thin layer of soil. Transplant when plants have 2 to 3 leaves, every 10 cm. Transplant when plants have 4 to 5 leaves, every 50 cm in rows spaced 50 cm apart, without burying the stem too deeply. For sowing in the open ground, sow lightly in rows spaced 50 cm apart. Thin to 50 cm along the row.

Spring sowing is possible as long as it is carried out just after the last frosts, to minimize the risk of early bolting.
