Flageolet Chevrier Vert - Common Bean
This ancient variety, less than 50 cm tall, produces flat, straight green pods about 15 cm long. They contain pale green seeds that turn white when fully ripe. Best eaten semi-dry or dry.

Sow directly in place, 2 to 3 cm deep, every 8 cm, in rows 40 cm apart, or in stacks of 3 to 5 seeds, 40 cm apart in all directions. Plant out 3 weeks after emergence. In mild-climate regions, sow as early as April.
To consume semi-dry beans, harvest the pods as they start to turn yellow. To consume dry beans, wait until they turn yellow and dry completely.
