Sow in rows 25 cm apart. If possible, protect young shoots from slugs. Thin out every 8 to 10 cm.
Water regularly, but lightly, to encourage emergence, then more abundantly once a week in the month following sowing. Carrots can be harvested all year round - until flowering in spring - if the soil doesn't freeze or is protected by mulch.
