Composed of 92% water, broccoli has very little energy but is packed with minerals. Broccoli ranks high on the list of "anti-cancer foods" thanks to the fiber and antioxidants it contains. Very rich in provitamin A, broccoli has antioxidant properties that combat the formation of free radicals responsible for cell ageing. Regular consumption of broccoli helps prevent cardiovascular and degenerative diseases by promoting blood fluidity (vitamin K).
