Vert d'Autan - Dwarf Common bean
This old French variety, of the "Fin de Bagnols" type, produces a multitude of very fine, stringless green beans, even late in the season. When ripe, they contain elongated, pale-green beans.

Sow directly in place, 2 to 3 cm deep, at 8 cm intervals, in rows 40 cm apart, or in stacks of 3 to 5 seeds, 40 cm apart in all directions. Plant 3 weeks after emergence. In mild climates, sow as early as April.
They can be harvested once or twice a week, when they reach 12 to 15 cm in length, before becoming fibrous.
