Really Red Deer Tongue - To cut Lettuce
This productive variety forms a loose rosette of dark red, almost black, arrow-shaped leaves. They offer a crunchy texture and excellent flavor.
Peripheral leaves are cut off, one by one, as needed. New ones develop after successive harvests.

Sow in pots or slabs at a temperature of 10-18°C, one month before planting. Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil, press lightly and water. Once the plants have 4 leaves, prick out. Alternatively, sow lightly, directly into the ground, every 15 days for better staggered harvests, then thin out. This type of sowing produces hardier plants, less susceptible to bolting.
